Network Rail

Since Network Rail formed in October 2002 the company has been committed to progress, with the vision to transform Britain’s railway into a world class infrastructure – a source of pride for the whole country. We are ambitious for the future and wish to grow the railway, meeting the demands and aspirations of rail users.

Network Rail is constantly evolving and we are looking for business professionals to help us meet the challenges ahead. In order to create a world-class railway, we need a certain type of person at Network Rail.

We need people who will live and breathe our corporate values; Determination, Respect, Teamwork and Pride.
Network Rail represents a new beginning, a new vision and a new way of delivering Britain’s railway. By investing in our workforce and introducing new technologies, we hope to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient railway for Britain.

Working at Network Rail

Why work for us

The challenge for Network Rail

It is our vision to deliver a safe, reliable and efficient railway for Britain. Since we formed in October 2002 we have made enormous progress – but there is still a lot more that we want to achieve.

We want Britain’s railway to be world class – a source of pride for the whole country. We want to continue to raise the bar on train performance. We want to transport more passengers and move more freight. And we want to improve safety and reduce delays – all at a reduced cost.

The people we need to meet this challenge

In order to create a world-class railway, we need a certain type of person at Network Rail.

We are an extremely ambitious company which is constantly evolving and we are looking for business professionals to help us meet the challenges ahead.

We need people who will live and breathe our corporate values; Determination, Respect, Teamwork and Pride.

These are the values that we look for in our job applicants and expect in all of our employees. They are so important to us that we recognise the people who have demonstrated these values to the highest levels at our annual You Make The Difference Awards.
